Director, Quality Assurance Program
SUMMARY: The purpose of this function is to define, implement, maintain and improve the Corporate Quality System and Continuous Improvement Process. This requires an assessment of systems and processes as well as an evaluation of performance. Information is collected, analyzed and presented to guide necessary action, training and information material is presented as needed to support corporate goals.
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering/Science
10 to 12 years’ experience in construction operations, with at least 3 years in significant quality management role
Strong technical and project management experience
Good understanding of QA and widely used construction codes and standards
Good understanding of with ISO QMS standards including 9000 series
Understanding of the auditor qualification requirements.
Experience with Federal Contract requirements.
Experience in working with AFCEE, USACE, USAID or similar agencies and clients
DIMENSIONS: Individual must be detail oriented and be responsible for establishing direction, processes and systems to accommodate a worldwide Quality effort
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess, track and improve the performance of site and corporate quality systems
Assess, track and improve the performance of supplier quality systems
Define, implement and maintain the corporate quality system.
Determine and establish planning direction for quality systems and procedures
Define, implement and maintain the corporate continuous improvement process
Analyze and report performance of the continuous improvement process
Train and educate as required to support corporate objectives
Participate in the corporate planning and budgeting process as needed.
Train and develop subordinates and site personnel
Prepare and present information and performance data to senior management and to customers
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Individual must have Bachelor’s or 4 year applicable degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or equivalent, and have 10 to 12 years of quality experience in a Federal contracting construction setting.
