Brake Engineer – Detroit

Manage Electronic Stability Control and ABS systems for functional integration into the Truck programs; both heavy and light duty versions.

Responsibilities include development, validation and application of ESC and ABS functional software, system interaction to vehicle production.

Managing driveline and other system interactions.

Typical duties:
Perform duties as vehicle functional integrator.

Integrate ESC/ABS and additional functionality into vehicle architecture from functional objectives of vehicle development and platform team.

Manage supplier software releases to meet build timing and functional objectives.

Lead team meetings with vehicle groups to identify issues for resolution.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of the system as required to root cause issues.

Require Electro-Mechanical control theory knowledge, Chassis and Driveline interaction knowledge, Electrical troubleshooting, CAN buss messaging and program management skills.

Vehicle Dynamics, Handling and Off Road experience helpful.

Some travel for development and testing required to Houghton, MI.

Must be able to lead program with technical and program management skills.

Engineering Degree required with minimum 4 years overall automotive experience.

Brake calibration knowledge optional.
