As a clinical laboratory scientist and an Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, you'll serve your country by playing an important role in the prevention of disease. You'll oversee our clinical laboratories, possibly including our blood bank programs and procedures. Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or biological sciences from an accredited program acceptable to the Surgeon General
- Certification by either the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel (NCAMLP)
- At least one year of clinical laboratory experience in DOD health care facility, university or other facility
- Current, unrestricted license for practice
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
- U.S. citizenship
